KEANEKARAGAMAN JENIS VEGETASI DESA ADAT LAMAN MENGKALANG KABUPATEN LAMANDAU KALIMANTAN TENGAH
Abstract
The Laman Mengkalang Customary Forest has been maintained and inherited from generation to generation, is a local wisdom that regulates the relationship between humans and nature as a provider of needs and a place to live. The current land conversion also threatens the existence and wealth of nature, including the diversity of vegetation in it. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of diversity of vegetation types by studying the structure and composition of vegetation. The data needed in this study are primary data on the types of vegetation from each growth level, structure, number of individual vegetation and diameter. In addition, supporting data is needed, including rainfall data, demographics, community work, and other data and information needed to describe the condition of the object being studied. The technique for determining the research sample is determined by the sampling method with certain considerations or Purposive Sampling, carried out by determining the area that meets the ideal criteria to represent the actual state of the research object. Vegetation data collection is carried out using a gridded path system (Nested Sampling). The Shannon Index is used to classify the value of the diversity of vegetation types from the vegetation community being studied. If the diversity index of species is found to be greater in a community, then the ecological stability of the observed community is better.
